The Choosing Wisely App

Zadig developed an app as part of the Choosing Wisely Italy project to provide access to recommendations from Italian Scientific Societies and Professional Associations on diagnostic tests, treatments, and procedures that offer little or no benefit to most patients and may expose them to unnecessary risks.

The Choosing Wisely Italy initiative, promoted by Slow Medicine, aims to reduce inappropriate use of healthcare resources and to encourage informed, shared decision-making between healthcare professionals and patients.

Commissioned by Choosing Wisely Italy, the app is designed for use during medical consultations and allows users to quickly identify practices at risk through search and filtering functions, also available offline.

To further support dialogue, the app includes a section dedicated to citizens, featuring informational materials developed in collaboration with Altroconsumo and suggested questions to ask their doctor.
