FISM Barometer: Multiple Sclerosis Research

To assess the impact of multiple sclerosis research funded by FISM – Fondazione Italiana Sclerosi Multipla, an annual analysis is conducted using the PubMed archive, based on a set of bibliometric indicators, alongside data on the number of clinical trials and patents.

The study places a strong focus on scientific productivity, evaluating both the academic and social impact of publications as well as the nature of research collaborations across different thematic areas. The aim is to provide an up-to-date overview and offer a structured reflection that can help inform future strategic directions
